Light designed for better sleep.
LIGHT
SLEEP
WELLBEING
How can light support healthier sleep?
LUNA began with a fascination for the relationship between light, sleep and human wellbeing.
The project explores how thoughtful lighting can become part of an evening routine and create a calmer environment for both babies and parents.
CIRCADIAN RHYTHM
LIGHT EXPOSURE
HUMAN BEHAVIOUR
Light is more than something we see.
My graduation research focused on how artificial light influences the circadian rhythm and the transition between wakefulness and sleep.
I investigated how the colour, intensity and timing of light can shape our evening environment, with particular attention to the needs of young children and their parents.
Exploring the relationship between light and circadian rhythm.
Designing around the emotional experience of bedtime.
Translating research into an intuitive everyday object.
PORTABLE LIGHT
INTUITIVE
HUMAN-CENTRED
Meet Luna.
LUNA is a portable sleep-aid light designed to support a healthier and calmer bedtime environment for babies and parents.
Rather than treating light only as illumination, LUNA approaches it as part of a ritual, an object that helps communicate the transition from an active day towards rest.
RESEARCH → OBJECT
FORM × FUNCTION
From research to a physical experience.
The design process moved between research, experimentation, form development and prototyping. Each decision was considered not only in terms of function, but also through the emotional experience of using the object at night.
INTERNATIONAL
RECOGNITION
A graduation project that became a long-term direction.
LUNA continues to shape my exploration of light, sleep and wellbeing and has received recognition across international design and lighting platforms.
